Every year, during the last three weekends of November, San Miniato becomes the capital of the white truffle. The White Truffle Fair attracts food lovers, chefs, and curious travelers who can taste traditional dishes, join outdoor activities, and purchase top-quality local products.
For more than 50 years, this medieval town has hosted a true festival dedicated to the “king” of autumn. Its historic streets become an open-air laboratory of taste, with market stalls, food stands, and restaurants offering special truffle-based menus.
San Miniato is also known for a unique record: the largest white truffle in the world—weighing 2.520 kg—was found here on October 26, 1954, by truffle hunter Arturo Gallerini and his dog Parigi.
